Ranch Academy serves a hot lunch each day and the food is generally very much enjoyed by all.  However, if you have a student who has special food or diet considerations or restrictions, the following information should be helpful:

• Please make sure you have notified the school about any medical reasons, allergies or issues with food items so we can monitor and help students avoid any issues.

• You may send items to school to keep here in the event that students may not like a specific meal or it may contain restricted items.  We prefer shelf stable or frozen items, as we have more storage space for those items.  We do have limited refrigerator space for daily lunches but there is not a ton of room to keep large amounts of food for students in the refrigerator space. Please write the name of the student in permanent marker on the outside of the food packaging before sending it to school.

• Some popular items students bring include frozen meals and items that can be microwaved such as soup, mac n’ cheese cups, ramen cups, etc.  Please purchase microwave friendly items that can be cooked in the container they come in and they are easy to open for students.  For example, pop top soup containers are better than a can of soup because we don’t have to help them with a can opener or worry about sharp lids being accidentally left around or tossed in the trash. 

GENERAL INFO:

Drinks are for sale daily for $1 each and we also have water fountains located in the cafeteria. Drink choices vary and include soda, fruit juice, electrolyte drinks such as Body Armour or Gatorade.  We do not purchase drinks with extra caffeine such as Mountain Dew or Pibb Xtra. We cannot guarantee specific drinks as they are purchased based on price and availability.  Students may bring a drink from home and as any food, please write their name on the outside of the package.  Students may not bring energy drinks to school at any time so have them leave those in the car please!

Lunch Cost  is $3 per meal for full pay students. We offer reduced ($1.75) and free options based on your income filled out during the enrollment process. If you need additional assistance for lunch cost, contact the front desk. 

Lunch Balances are emailed to the primary guardians email address on Fridays at 2pm. If your student has a credit or does not have a balance you will not get this email. If you need special payment arrangements contact the front desk.

Lunch Payments can be done by sending cash or check (payable to Ranch Academy) with your student to school on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. We cannot take electronic payments at this time. The student can pay after meals have been served in the cafeteria. You will get an email confirmation of the amount paid to the account. Payments must be made on a monthly basis at a minimum.
